Beer of the week: Number of the yeast.

Epic Pale Ale has been a favourite of mine for a while now. But it’s been surpassed in my hierachy of hops by a new brew from the Auckland boys.

Welcome to Armageddon. It’s like an apocalypse of flavour in your mouth. And a 6.66% assault on your senses and basic motor skills. We tried it for the first time on Friday at the Malthouse, and one pint was all that was needed to herald the arrival of a new favourite ale (and an imminent hangover). Who says nothing good ever comes out of Auckland (besides State Highway 1)?

Dude, I have to say: A man after my own heart. I would love to try some of that hoppy love out. The hoppier the ale, the better. And it better not be fucking cold, either. If you ever make it Stateside, let me know; I can make some recommendations.

Sounds like fun. What area? There are also very loose plans on our side to visit friends living in Geelong for the Worlds. Should be a good race.
